Eindhoven University of Technology (TU/e) is a research university specializing in engineering science & technology. TU/e’s Strategic Area Smart Mobility is one of three strategic areas, directly reporting to the chair of the board of directors of TU/e. TU/e has an excellent track record of research funded under various EU programmes.
The TU/e practices and preaches a multi-disciplinary system approach, both in education and research. Within TU/e’s Strategic Area Smart Mobility, over 200 researchers contribute every day to make mobility and transport more intelligent and productive, and to make vehicles safer, cleaner and more efficient. The TU/e is holding a great deal of expertise in the fields of Intelligent Transport Systems, Automotive Technology, Logistics and Planning Systems, and ICT/Embedded Systems. The TU/e facilitates on the University Campus the Living Lab for deployment, usage and gaining experience on University developed smart mobility innovations.
VRA – Vehicle and Road Automation is a support action funded by the European Union to create a collaboration network of experts and stakeholders working on deployment of automated vehicles and its related infrastructure.
